Consent Agenda

The Consent agenda contains Curriculum proposals that have been approved by the University Curriculum Committee and other items recommended for the Consent Agenda by the Executive Committee.  Curriculum proposals are automatically placed on the Consent agenda.  There are two stages of approval for items placed on the Consent Agenda – Senate review and Senate approval of items on Consent Agenda via a motion during an Academic Senate meeting.

Senate Program Proposal Review

The members of the Academic Senate individually review each program proposal posted to this Consent agenda.  Consent Agenda documents are available in alternative formats upon request by contacting the Academic Senate at acsenate@ilstu.edu or 309-438-8735.

Senate Approval  of Items on Consent Agenda

Program Proposals

If there is no request from any member of the Academic Senate for a full review of the proposal by the Senate after ten (10) business days when classes are in session during the Fall and Spring semester, the proposal will be presented to the Academic Senate on the “Consent agenda” at a regular Academic Senate meeting.  All items presented on the Consent agenda to the Academic Senate are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted by one motion.  The motion to adopt the Consent agenda shall be nondebatable.  There will be no separate discussion on these items.
